Sperm Donor Insemination

In most of the cases couples having fertility problems use sperm donor insemination to achieve pregnancy. It is a method used to place the semen into a woman's vagina that helps to achieve the pregnancy. The semen can be obtained by contacting a sperm bank or by contacting sperm donation profiles. A couple looking for insemination process will have to go through an inclusive process including methods of insemination, discussion with semen donors, fertility awareness, legal issues and self-exam in the end. Communication is the key to addressing these concerns. Some couples find it challenging to reach the same conclusion. It is best to have these discussions before pursuing the insemination procedure.

For the process of sperm donor insemination a couple has to go through the following steps:
-Discussions of potential semen donors.
-Method of insemination
-Legal issues related with the insemination.
-Fertility awareness.
-Self assessment.

Fertility awareness is an important point to discuss which educates the couple about the best insemination time. A health exam is conducted by most of the fertility expert to make sure that they have the best health to have a baby.

How Successful Is the Insemination Process

The process of sperm donor insemination has a good pregnancy rates but it varies with the age of woman and with few fertility factors if reduced. Success rates for insemination differs depending on various factors like the age of woman and if she has any infertility factors. When used in women averaging around 35, the chances for success are good. Whereas, when used over the age of 40, success rates tend to drop and some women even require donor eggs to get pregnant. There are several things that couples should converse regarding donor insemination. Mostly, it's not the matter of right or wrong, but rather what works best for each couple.

Sperm Donor Insemination usually referred to as (DI) Donor Insemination. Couples can go for this treatment when a male partner has:

-In the case of No sperm (azoospermia)
-Low sperm count (oligozoospermia)
-Sperm donor insemination is helpful for lesbian or single women want a baby.
- Sperm donor insemination is beneficial in the case of a testicular injury, genetic defect or cancer therapy.

Sperm donor insemination is not an expensive process as compare to vitro fertilization. However, most of the people go for it as a last choice. Insemination process is very effective if the woman has strong fertility, the women having weak fertility can go for the insemination process as well but they have to go under a medicinal treatment to make sure the whole process will be beneficial.
